Another Truck Stuck on Umaria Railway Track – Double Negligence Near Station?
Umaria, Madhya Pradesh – Back-to-back incidents near railway tracks in Umaria district have raised serious safety concerns. On 6th August, a truck went out of control near Birsinghpur Pali station, broke through the boundary, and reached the railway tracks. Shockingly, just 36 days later on 11th September, another truck accident occurred near Signal Tola, only a short distance from Umaria station.
Truck Stuck on Tracks for Hours
According to reports, a heavily loaded truck suffered a broken axle and got stuck right in the middle of the railway tracks. Rail traffic was disrupted for several hours until the vehicle was finally removed with the help of a crane.
Coincidence or Security Failure?
The key question is whether these are mere coincidences or clear signs of serious lapses in railway safety management. What makes the situation alarming is that both accidents occurred near railway stations, where security arrangements are expected to be stronger than in remote areas.
Officials Hesitant, Public Worried
A senior officer, requesting anonymity, admitted:
“We cannot provide clarity while sitting at a distance. Exact facts will only emerge after investigation.”
Railway and police investigations are currently underway. However, passengers and local citizens warn that unless strict preventive measures are taken quickly, a major tragedy could be inevitable.
